Frequently Asked Questions
Start with your energy consumption rather than the size of your home. Check your smart meter or electricity bill to estimate how many kWh you use overnight or during the backup period.
A practical calculation is:
Required battery capacity = Required AC energy ÷ (Target DOD × Inverter efficiency)
For example, supplying 10kWh at 80% DOD and 92% inverter efficiency requires approximately 13.6kWh of nominal storage. Therefore, one 15.36kWh or 16.08kWh battery may be sufficient, depending on appliance loads, solar generation and desired backup time.
Both models operate at 51.2V and use the same 200A Smart BMS, providing up to 10.24kW of continuous battery-side output at nominal voltage.
- 300Ah model: 15.36kWh, 908 × 620 × 218mm and 118kg ±3%. It is slimmer, lighter and better suited to depth-restricted installations.
- 314Ah model: 16.08kWh, 890 × 620 × 254mm and 130.5kg ±3%. It provides approximately 4.7% more energy and slightly longer backup runtime.
The 314Ah model provides more storage capacity, but it does not have a higher maximum continuous output than the 300Ah model.
The battery is designed for compatible 48V/51.2V LiFePO₄ inverter systems and supports CAN and RS485 communication.
Compatibility depends on the exact inverter model, communication protocol, firmware and required cable. Selected Victron and Growatt models may be supported, but the brand name alone does not guarantee compatibility.

The battery stores DC energy and requires a compatible inverter/charger to power AC appliances. Blackout backup also depends on the inverter and transfer-system configuration.
Yes. Up to 15 matching batteries can be connected in parallel:
- 15 × 300Ah batteries provide up to 230.4kWh
- 15 × 314Ah batteries provide up to 241.2kWh
Batteries connected in the same system should be the same model, capacity, condition and at a similar state of charge before connection.
Do not mix 300Ah and 314Ah batteries in the same battery bank unless the configuration has been confirmed by Humsienk. Correctly rated cables, busbars, fuses, isolators and inverter equipment are required.
Actual runtime depends on average appliance load, selected depth of discharge, inverter efficiency, temperature and any solar power generated at the same time.
Using 80% DOD and 92% inverter efficiency as an example:
- At a 1kW average load: approximately 11.3 hours with the 300Ah model or 11.8 hours with the 314Ah model
- At a 2kW average load: approximately 5.7 hours or 5.9 hours
- At a 5kW average load: approximately 2.3 hours or 2.4 hours
It can support refrigerators, lighting, internet equipment, televisions, pumps and other household appliances when paired with a suitable inverter. Air conditioners, pumps and workshop tools may have high starting currents, so both the inverter’s surge rating and battery-system limits must be checked.
Before ordering, confirm the installation space, supporting structure, inverter compatibility, cable requirements and required electrical protection.
The 300Ah model weighs 118kg ±3%, while the 314Ah model weighs 130.5kg ±3%. The installation location must provide adequate structural support, ventilation, maintenance clearance and protection from flooding or severe weather.
Both models have an IP54 metal enclosure, an operating charging temperature of 0°C to 55°C and a discharging temperature of -20°C to 60°C.
Due to the battery’s weight and high DC current, installation by a suitably qualified professional is strongly recommended.
Each battery is securely packed and shipped by pallet freight. Australian orders are generally dispatched from available local warehouse stock in Sydney or Melbourne, subject to inventory and delivery postcode.
Please provide a street address accessible to a delivery truck. PO Boxes and standard parcel lockers cannot accept pallet freight.
Before ordering, please confirm whether you have a forklift or require a tail-lift service. Remote or difficult-access locations may require an additional freight quotation. Please inspect the pallet and packaging before signing for delivery.
